Property Rights Advocate
"Defenders of Property Rights says that when private property
was taken through regulation, legislation or some other bureaucratic action,
owners can look to it to get relief.
The study will cost $10,000, with half funded by Delaware
millionaire E. Ralph Hostetter, a property-rights advocate.
Supervisor Dale French (R-Crown Point) is the sponsor of the
study. He learned about both Defenders of Property Rights and Hostetter through
the Alliance for America, a national lobbying group he belongs to.
"If they’re going to study 25 years of decisions for $10,000,
it’s going to take a lot of time," Sheehan said."
