Terms and Conditions

 This agreement must be completed and signed by Vendor and returned to the Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce Boat Race Committee on or before July 31, 2004 (for First Priority guarantee) with the appropriate fees and shall not be in effect until accepted and signed by the Chamber.

  1. The space fee is $60 for the weekend, Sat and Sun Sept 4 & 5, for non-perishable vendors.  A ticket system will used for all perishable vendors with the Chamber of Commerce retaining 15%.  Time will be available from 7am to 10am on Saturday to set up and tear down will be after 5pm  on Sunday.  These are the only times allowed for setup and tearing down.  If you need to set-up on Friday, please note it on page 1 in the Special Needs section.
  2. The $60 fee entitles you to a 12x12 space.  You will be responsible for supplying your own tables and tent (if you wish).  Displays are confined to your space.  Fees are non-refundable unless the event is completely canceled.  If you have any special requirements (such as electricity), these must be included with your original payment.  If requesting electricity, you must provide your own heavy-duty, round extension cord(s) in good condition.
  3. The dates of the event are Saturday Sept. 4 and Sunday Sept. 5.  from 11am to 5pm.
  4. You may drop your items at your space and then park your car in the designated parking area and take the shuttle back to the grounds.
  5. Nether the Chamber of Commerce or any organization associated with the Power Boat Race will assume responsibility for lost, damaged or stolen items.  Overnight security will be on duty.  It is recommended that each exhibitor obtain general liability insurance, as the event insurance does not extend coverage for exhibit damage or bodily injury.
  6. Exhibitors must abide by all local fire, police, and governmental regulations as well as the Power Boat Race Committee officials.
  7. No items, other than those listed on this application may be sold without prior written approval of the Chamber of Commerce Boat Race Committee.
  8. Maryland state sales tax is 5% and you are responsible for its collection and reporting.
  9. Vendor must thoroughly clean area before departing.
  10. This event will be held rain or shine and it is the vendors responsibility to be fully prepared for inclement weather.
  11. The Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce Boat Race Committee reserves the absolute right to terminate the Agreement in the event the vendor sells or attempts to sell any product or services other than those specified in this application or breaches any of the regulations for the Power Boat Race event.  In the event the sponsor terminates the Agreement, Vendor shall immediately cease any activities at the Race and remove all equipment, personnel and other property from the event venues and forfeit all fees paid to Sponsor.

HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT:  I have read all rules carefully and agree to abide by them.
 I,__________________________________, agree to hold harmless the Port Deposit Chamber of Commerce, Boat Race Committee, its directors, members, sponsors, affiliates, associates and tenants thereof, from any claim for damages, loss, cause of action, or cost whatsoever in connection with the boat race, including but not limited to injury to person, damage to property, loss by fire, theft, or any other cause, nor will I/we be a party to any lawsuit.  This is a legal and binding hold harmless agreement.
